West London:
Winchester House
Overlooking the Thames in leafy Putney, Winchester House is one of London’s most picturesque summer party venues. The building, dating back to the 18th century, is a Grade II-listed landmark and has been a private members’ club for well over a century. Now you can hire the enchanting interior and the Thames-facing lawn for a corporate party, wedding reception or charity event for up to 150 guests (100 seated).
Winchester House also has a delightful ballroom and downstairs library, and the garden can be equipped with a marquee so you can host an outdoor event come rain or shine. The building is easily reachable via Putney Bridge tube station, although if you’re looking to arrive in style, you can also get here by boat from central London!
The Garden Room at Syon Park
Although it’s just 11 miles from central London, Syon Park is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the capital. With its glorious landscaped grounds, it feels more like a rural retreat than a west London venue. Today, The Garden Room has enough space to accommodate up to 600 guests for fantastic summer parties, with a huge marquee that can be adapted to various themes.
The Garden Room is next to Syon House, an 18th Century mansion that was designed by one of Britain’s leading Georgian architects, Robert Adam, and built on a former medieval abbey. The site is close to the River Thames (opposite the famous Kew Royal Botanic Gardens) and is approximately a 15-minute walk from Syon Lane railway station, which has regular direct services to Waterloo and Richmond.
East London:
Tobacco Dock
Easily accessible from Shadwell or Wapping railway stations, Tobacco Dock is a superb multi-purpose venue with pleasant waterside views and large indoor and outdoor courtyards. See the formidable barrel-vaulted ceilings and Victorian walkways at the vault level, or book the ground level Quayside, Great Gallery, Little Gallery or East Mall, which have exposed brickwork and timber beams.
Part of London’s vibrant enterprise district, Tobacco Dock is one of the best summer party venues in London for high-impact events, offering over 16,000 square metres of flexible blank canvas space.
Dinerama
At the heart of trendy Shoreditch, Dinerama is the perfect food & drink venue for summer celebrations. Between May and September, it transforms into an open-air playground, with six bars and multiple spaces that can be hired for private parties. This funky two-level venue can accommodate up to 1,000 guests, so it’s also ideal for high-impact events.
Dinerama is just seconds from Shoreditch High Street railway station, and less than half a mile from Liverpool Street tube and railway station.
