If you’re looking for new ideas to get your colleagues engaged and working together at your next event, look no further than Eventwise’s Market Baking Challenge. The historic Borough Market is at the heart of this challenge where your participants will have to explore the market, answering questions and solving riddles as they go with the help of the obliging market traders.
Once they have made their way through the market, the teams will then be scored. Points received will be redeemed for ‘Borough Bucks’ – the more correct answers, the more bucks they will have to spend in the baking stage of the event.
The Baking Challenge:
Stage 1: Guests begin by making sweet or savoury dough for pizzas, all the time being supervised by the Borough Market Bakers.
Stage 2: Whilst the dough proves, participants then head out into the market to spend their hard-earned Borough Bucks on toppings for their pizzas. With so many diverse and unusual foods on sale, this is the perfect time to get creative.
Stage 3: Guests return to The Bakery to decorate their pizzas with Borough Markets finest produce, before they are baked to perfection in the pizza ovens.
Stage 4: Drinks are then served as guests’ pizzas are presented to the group for tasting. The finished pizzas are then judged and the winner announced.
