Five reasons to book your Christmas party at Winchester House
1. A beautiful Georgian house
An attractive Grade II-Listed building, Winchester House dates back to the 17th century and has been a private members’ club since the late Victorian era.
With a charming reception room, library and ballroom, the venue can accommodate up to 150 standing guests (100 seated), which means it’s the ideal space for a smaller Christmas party in London. Because it’s owned by the Concerto Group, it has large economies of scale, too, with access to some of the best production teams, caterers and entertainers in the city.
2. Picturesque riverside location, away from the hustle and bustle
Winchester House overlooks the Thames, and even has its own garden which is regularly hired for parties and weddings in the warmer months. Compared to the big skyscrapers of London’s financial district, and the bustling West End, this area feels much more laid back and detached from the big city, even though it’s easily accessible from Zone 1 by tube.
3. Mouthwatering food
Like in all of our London Christmas party venues, guests at Winchester House can expect sensational cuisine from our trusted catering partner, Create. During the festive period last year, Create served 98,000 freshly baked bread rolls for its starters, 31,000 portions of 12-hour braised featherblade for its main, and about 10,000 pints of cream.
If that doesn’t amaze you, this innovative brand managed to serve a quarter of a million Christmas plates, and worked on 12 events simultaneously during its busiest day.
4. Top-notch theming and entertainment
This year, celebrate Gatsby Glamour at Winchester House, with a 1920’s-themed photo wall, vintage baubles and atmospheric lighting emulating the vibrancy of the roaring ’20’s. Look forward to a magical winter wonderland, amazing entertainment, and hours of dancing as the DJ plays all the best festive songs and pop hits.
5. Great transport links
This London Christmas party space is only a short walk from Putney Bridge and its adjacent tube station, which is linked to the District line and has direct trains to Wimbledon and Earl’s Court. Winchester House is also just minutes from the Ruvigny Gardens bus stop on Lower Richmond Road, which has frequent buses to and from Hammersmith and Putney Common.
