Wimbledon: Where to catch the action

With Pimm’s and punnets of strawberries at the ready, here is our list of the best venues to watch the Wimbledon finals this weekend.

Courtyard Terrace at the Rosewood Hotel, Holborn

Set within the Edwardian courtyard of the Rosewood, this is the ultimate place to watch the tennis in style. Indulge in some Wimbledon-themed cocktails along with oysters and charcuterie.

Lewis Cubitt Square, King’s Cross

The Square offers great spaces to picnic with one of the biggest and best quality screens in central London. The pop-up Strawberries and Screen bar will be serving Pimm’s, Prosecco and cold beers as you soak up the atmosphere.

One New Change, St Paul’s

From the roof of the shopping centre, you can relax outdoors with St Paul’s as a spectacular backdrop and street food and ice-cream will be within easy reach. Newman Street Square will also be screening the Championship around the corner.

Waltham Forest, Walthamstow

A BBC Big Screen has been setup in this East London neighbourhood. There are plenty of soft grassy spots to watch the coverage; with the Olympic Park close by should the sporting fever take hold.

Bluebird Restaurant

This Chelsea venue has a great courtyard for the screenings with a menu especially created for the men’s final this Sunday. The children can join in the fun with a Wimbledon cupcake decorating class in the Food Store

Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf

Summer Screens kicks off the season with Wimbledon followed by a whole array of sporting and cultural events. The al-fresco setting allows you to soak up the sunshine in this grassy haven between Canary Wharf’s imposing skyscrapers.
