Within a 2,500 acre estate and only a stone’s throw from central London, Wrotham Park is an exclusive venue which is not to be missed.

Wrotham Park is surrounded by acres of parkland and is an exclusive venue usually closed to the public. Still a family home, the number of events that may be hosted here are limited, making them all the more special.

An event held here has complete exclusivity of the building and the in-house team’s undivided attention throughout their event. The house’s management have many years of experience with a wide range of events as a result of the venue’s versatile nature.

For events with fewer than 120 guests, various rooms within the house are available. The Entrance Hall, The Saloon, The Drawing Room, The Staircase Hall, The Billiard Room and the Dining Room may all be transformed into a perfect venue for dinners, board meetings, product launches and Champagne receptions.

For events exceeding 120 guests, a marquee on the lawn of Wrotham Park is a flexible space set against the stunning backdrop of the house. With use of the marquee, the venue is great for fun days, team building events, large conferences, parties and Christmas parties. Every marquee is erected specifically for each event and therefore a bespoke design.

Wrotham Park is a neo-Palladian English country house designed by Isaac Ware in 1754 and built by Admiral John Byng. The Park dates back to the early 1300s and has a fascinating story, replicated through both its architecture and interior.

In the 1880s, a ferocious fire threatened to destroy the house as even the efforts of four fire engines couldn’t stop the blaze. The House was left gutted but thankfully the contents of importance were recovered and the interior rebuilt to replicate the original designs, but incorporating the solidity of Victorian building technique.

After Admiral Byng was executed following a conviction of negligence in 1757, the House was passed down to Byng’s nephew. Since then, the house has been passed down to the present Robert Byng who has managed and lived on the estate since 1991.
