If you’re looking for a nautical backdrop for your next event you’ll love this week’s top venue, historic tea clipper the Cutty Sark.
This completely unique venue is the world’s last tea clipper, dating back to the 19th Century. Following a makeover from the Cutty Sark Conservation Project, the ship opened as a spectacular riverside venue.
Within the ship guests will find four dramatic event spaces, which can be hired together or separately. The vessel has also been raised and surrounded at the waterline by glass, enabling guests to enjoy the magnificent vessel all year round.
In addition to the three decks, a brand new and exciting space has been opened below the vessel itself. By raising the ship above its original position, a novel event space has been created within the dry berth of the ship. Guests can walk, dine and dance beneath the ship’s hull to fully admire Cutty Sark’s form. This 1000m² space beneath the ship’s hull can host up to 450 guests for a stand-up reception or 200 guests for a dinner.
The studio theatre in the lower hold is equipped with an audiovisual system and atmospheric lighting, ideal for corporate entertaining. Guests can also make use of a screen and stage if required.
All three of the vessel’s decks are available as impressive and exclusive event settings. The top deck boasts fantastic views over the Thames towards Canary Wharf and the City.
Greenwich space Cutty Sark provides each and every guest with a unique nautical experience. The venue is ideal for parties, drinks receptions, intimate dinners, lavish banquets, award ceremonies and presentations.
