Cara is an Account Manager here at Venueseeker. We caught up with her to find out more about her events industry experience. Here’s what she told us.

Why did you decide to get into events

I always loved organising social gatherings and parties when I was younger and knew this was the career path I wanted to follow. I started my career at a venue based in the Lake District planning weddings and special events.  After 3 years working within venues, I moved to the agency side just over two and a half years ago. I love the variation of events and enjoy checking out the newest venues and seeing an event through from start to finish.

Tell us about your favourite venue in London

The Haymarket Hotel in the heart of the Theatre District has got to be my favourite. The interior design by Kit Kemp is incredible and provides you with a luxury quirky feel. The Brummus Bar and Restaurant provides you with a relaxed feel and serves the most amazing champagne afternoon teas! To top it off the hotel even boasts a swimming pool and bar area that can be hired exclusively for those extra special events.

What would you take to a desert island and why?

This has to be my patterdale terrier puppy, Frankie. She is my best friend and can keep me entertained for days!
