In April 2016 the Rolling Stones will launch their first ever major exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. The show will trace the band’s 52 year career through over 500 artefacts. It will comprise of nine themed galleries and cover two entire floors.
The interactive design will showcase never-before-seen photographs; video footage; personal diaries; rare audio tracks and stage costumes from the band’s personal archives.
Featured alongside will also be collaborative work from filmmakers, designers and artists like Martin Scorsese, Alexander McQueen and Andy Warhol. The exhibition, which took 3 years to plan, will then tour 11 other world cities from September next year.
Exhibitionism promises to be “the most comprehensive and immersive insight into the world’s Greatest Rock n’ Roll Band”.
Tickets will go on sale this Friday from 9am online and at 10am from the Saatchi Gallery directly. Currently at the Gallery is the dynamic exhibition Pangaea II: New Art From Africa and Latin America.
This 2nd instalment features the innovative work of 19 emerging artists from both continents. On Friday 24th July, we will be hosting an exclusive breakfast event at this spectacular Chelsea venue.
